Matrix Elite

The Matrix is an incredibly light and strong clincher wheelset while the Matrix Elite is an even lighter all carbon tubular wheelset that weighs just 1075 grams when fitted with optional alloy nipples.

At 45mm deep the wheels are an ideal depth for maximum aerodynamic performance without being adversely affected by strong crosswinds. This makes the Matrix our most versatile wheelset and a must have for any serious competitor. Even though these wheelsets are incredibly light there's no need to treat them with cotton gloves. They're strong and durable.

Wheel Construction

The Matrix and Matrix Elite are constructed from carbon fibre and use our SSRT (spoke specific rim technology) combined with an internal carbon torsion box. This allows the Matrix to have an incredibly high spoke tension that produces more efficient energy flow through the spokes to the rim, making the wheel more responsive.

The Matrix also incorporates i-ACT (impact absorbing core technology) with circumferential fibre placement ensuring ultimate stiffness whilst giving an incredibly smooth ride.

The clincher model features a 180 gram alloy extrusion rim that is welded, co-moulded and machined to provide the same smooth dependable braking surface as our other wheels. Our bladed spokes use internal nipples and the wheel sets are ideally suited for road racing or triathlon (short or long course).

The Matrix Elite is all carbon and uses the same spoke arrangement as the standard Matrix.

• Clincher: Front 16 spokes - 595gr. Rear 20 spokes - 770gr. Rim weight 460gr. (Less 45gr for 650c model)
• Tubular (Elite): Front 16 spokes - 435gr. Rear 20 spokes - 615gr. Rim weight 310gr. (Less 30gr for 650c model)
